I've already played a fair bit over the last two weeks (by my standards - I've been on holiday) but feel like I have gotten almost nowhere. The worst part about these powerups is the amount of time required to powerup. But to think that people will one day be able to pay to power up? That would be the most infuriating thing in gaming. It's bad enough getting killed by someone who is powered up - it makes me wonder how much they have been playing to power up that much. In fact, they still might have a pay system for these crates. And to think EA were going to have 'pay' system for these 'crates'. The average player like myself has no chance against the elite who earn more points and score more powerful upgrades. Now I know - it appears to be another shitty system that benefits the elite. So it took me a few games to figure out how these worked. Next up: Credits & cards & upgrades & crafting parts. It's a bit like Trump's tax plan - totally benefiting the elite, whilst the everyday person gets shat on. And the majority of players (more like me, I would assume), just run around getting wasted by more powerful players, who have become heros. What's the worst part about this battlepoints system? It's always the same players - the best players - who probably play a lot more than me that end up becoming heros and kicking everyones ass. I think I managed to get Vader once after a 11 killstreak or something (must've been a fluke) and then I got run over from behind by some sort of bullshit speeder and died without even seeing another enemy.

And in 99% of cases I either don't get enough points or someone else is already the hero. So earning enough battle points to score a hero takes me most of the game. Unfortunately for me, I am not that good. Of course everyone wants a shot and being Vader or Rey or Ren or Yoda and run around wreaking havoc. These are what you earn to get power ups in the main game. Hopefully EA read this one day but I think the damage is done for me.įirst up: Battlepoints. Unfortunately - I have found playing the multiplayer game so infuriating that I am giving up on the game all together. And I have had some fun playing as heros in the heros vs villains mode. Ok so first the good stuff: The campaign was fun and the story was cool.
#BATTLEFRONT 2 TAKES FOREVER TO LOAD UPDATE#
We’ve reached out to EA and DICE for comment and will update when they respond.By cheeeeeese | Review Date: January 1, 2018 These phantom players are going to ruin the online experience, and EA and DICE have no one to blame but themselves. Things get sad for everyone, very quickly. This is what happens when your economy is bad. You can increase the amount you earn by doing well and taking part of each objective - and credits are given for playing the campaign and arcade mode as well - so this is merely the easiest way to get credits without putting any actual work into the process. Right now you can get a minimum amount of credits just for showing up, which is what these farms are after. Locking away content in this manner and focusing on playing long hours to get credits to try to get the things you want from loot crates that randomly spit out loot gives players an incentive to give up and start farming. It’s hard to get mad at these players due to the fact the economy has been hated since the first days of the beta. Just in case you want to ruin the game for others while earning enough credits to get whatever you want, this is how it’s done. It feels weird to get angry at players who are trying to stretch what’s acceptable inside an economy that was this ill-conceived. You may be hurting your team’s chances at winning and annoying the rest of the players on the server, but this is the world EA and DICE have created. While one player created a simple robot to keep their character moving in order to farm credits without being removed from the game due to inactivity, the same thing can be done by simply adding a few rubber bands to your controller. So clever players have found physical ways to cheat the system. The economy of Star Wars Battlefront 2is based entirely around credits now that premium transactions have been removed from the game, and earning enough credits to buy the loot boxes to get the cards you need or to unlock the heroes you want can take a lot of time.
